Knoxville, Tennessee

“The most important thing when studying the martial arts is not to be lazy. These skills are not easily attained. For them, one must endure a lot of suffering.”

                                                                                           He Jinbao

Here is some information on our Study Group. First off, this is an adult-oriented martial art. We do not teach children. We have a limit to the number of individuals that can practice at one time. The training is intense, and you will be sore if you are training like you should. It is also recommended that you have some background in the martial arts, but there are exceptions to individuals with a strong commitiment to learn.

Location: 660 Cunningham Street, Maryville, TN at Sam Houston Elementary School’s outdoor pavilion. (It is better to call or email for specifics before just showing up)

Parking: The best location to park is actually on Cunningham Street. There are a number of parking spaces along the road, which is located about 50 yards NE of the pavilion.

Time and Day: Monday evenings from 6:30pm to 9:00pm

What to wear: Sweatpants, t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc. Basically, something that is comfortable. We don’t wear uniforms, ranking belts, or any of that other nonsense.

What to expect: Hard work! Sweat! Good old-fashioned training and exposure one of the most fascinating and effective martial arts in the world. Our focus is on intense training in a relaxed atmosphere. We train hard with individual focus but work on building the skills of each person that shows an interest. This art isn’t for everybody. You are welcome to come and see if you like it or not.

Costs: All classes are free. You pay with your sweat and dedication.
